Nylon - If you want durability and strength we recommend nylon. Nylon is more resistant to harsh UV rays, mold and mildew than the cotton. Nylon is soft and silky to the touch and is more bright in color due to its synthetic fabric. Less flexible, nylon is not as comfortable as the cotton.
Cotton - If comfort is your ultimate priority, we recommend cotton. Cotton is flexible and will stretch and contour to your body making it a more comfortable fabric than nylon. If left outdoors, the cotton strings will absorb moisture, making it susceptible to mold and mildew. Because the cotton hammocks are made for comfort, the delicate strings can easily get snagged.
