Discover Scuba Diving (Intro)
A great way for non-certified guests to experience our wonderful underwater world. Guests will receive instructions on the boat and will be accompanied by an instructor on the dive.
The Concept
We own and operate our own boat on the west side of the island. We carry a maximum of 16 divers on our PRO-42 Jet Boat built for 28 diving passengers, hosted by 3-5 instructors in very small groups, separated by experience level, so it never feels crowded. We set up all of your gear and switch it in between dives for your so all you get to do is relax, dive, eat and have fun. Truly Extreme Comfort Diving! We do multi level dives so you get the maximum amount of dive time and many times do up to an hour at the shallow sites for those good on air.
Naturalist Guided Dives
Your typical day begins with free transportation from your Waikiki area hotel at about 7:00 am. We start much earlier packing gear bags, fixing the ice chest & preparing the seating & hosting charts so we're going directly on the freeway to our leeward coast boat without delay instead of dragging you through a dive shop. For guests wishing to drive out, we can send directions.
Most Experience Full Time Instructors
Our full time PADI professionals are more experiences than entry level instructors and have been diving and teaching SCUBA & marine life around the world for many years. We plan the dives with you, then closely guise and escort you on the dives for safety (and so we can point out where the critters live). If you are only "Open Water" certified, we offer a refresher briefing and train you to dive slightly deeper than 60 feet as though you were in an advances class. Buddy teams with cameras or computers and more experience are given due consideration. Advances & Adventure training dives are also offered.

ONLY Captain Bruce's "extreme comfort" boat has a HOT shower. We also serve sodas, sliced pineapple, cookies and finger sandwiches. We provide restrooms, wash barrels for your cameras, custom made dive ladders, and vans stocked with fish books. We have the biggest tanks (Dacor super 82's) for the longest dives and we're the only company that brings "100's" daily for those who need them so we don't have to take you or the "air hogs" back to the boat early. NITROX is available.

Dive Sites
We offer the widest variety of walls, caverns, arches, wrecks & lava tubes. Wreck diving is where we find the richest variety of marine critters. The vertical aspect of these artificial reefs provides a habitat that supports the entire food chain. The smallest wreck or structure become an oasis life, even in areas of mostly barren sand or "limestone pavement" bottom. We often see q squadron of spotted eagle rays flying gracefully in formation around the shipwrecks.
Main Dive Sites:
Mahi Wreck, Makaha Caverns, Arches, Black Rock, LCU Wreck, 29 Down, Land of Oz
Much of Hawaii's reefs are volcanic lava formations with cauliflower and antler coral on top, rather than solid coral compsition. We don't have the soft corals, sea fans or large sponges which most people associate with picturesque seascapes because our water temperature varies between 70 and 80 degrees. The good news is that ou 650 species of inshore reef fishes includes over 200 found no where else in the world. You'll recognize the basic fish groups, such as tangs, wrasses, butterflies, etc. but see color patterns unique to Hawaii. This is due to the development in isolation nearly 2,000 miles from the nearest continent or island reef habitats. We have over 38 varieties or moray eels, nine species of frogfish (anglerfish) and a dozen or so types of scorpion fish. There is an abundance of marine flat worms, nudibranchs, shrimps and crabs. We take the time to brief you on Hawaii's unique volcanic geology, fishes and the history of the wrecks. During our drift dives on walls, we usually visit two or three cavern or arch features in a single dive. The ceiling of these habitats support lace coral, orange cup coral, black coral whips and sponges. Perhaps what stands out the most to Hawaii's fist time visitors, is an abundance of Pacific Green Sea Turtles.
