Single and Double Track Mountain Biking Adventures in Hawaii

The dramatic beauty of the lush Kaaawa Valley, majestic Koolau Mountain cliffs and stunning ocean views are the backdrop for this epic single and double track mountain biking experience on Oahu.

Capture the thrill of riding along scenic dirt roads, double track and single track as we explore this sacred and historic Hawaiian valley. This is the same site for the Hawaiian Mountain Tour Pro/Am, the 24-Hours of Hell Mountain Bike Race and many other off-road triathlons.

This is a great introduction to off-road mountain biking and also offers challenges for experienced riders. With a multitude of dirt trails to choose from, we can easily cater the experience to your skill level.

Your mountain bike ride through the Hawaiian countryside will visit a kauhale (village), WWII bunkers and scenic movie locations including Lost, 50 First Dates, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Wind Talkers and more. During the months of December thru April, you might see whales from the trails.

What To Know

Time: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm (6.5 hours)
(We strongly recommend that you do not book other tours back-to-back which require you to be strictly on-time in your return from our tours. Weather, traffic and other factors can sometimes delay our return times. This goes for all tour companies and we wouldn’t want you to possibly miss your luau or other activity.)

Operates: Wednesday, Sunday

Includes: Professional nature guides, access to private land, complimentary round-trip transportation from Waikiki, Kona mountain bikes with front-suspension, Bell helmets, optional use of rain gear, hip pack, bottled water, trail mix, deli-style lunch and cold beverages.

What to Bring: Dress comfortably, wear shoes and socks and bring a camera. Bring a change of clothes in case of a wet or muddy ride.

We advise that you only bring what you will need during your adventure with us. A camera or smartphone is ideal to capture images of your day out with us. If not waterproof, it is a good idea to at least have a plastic trash bag from hotel room to protect your camera in case of rain. Please leave purses, computers, credit cards, passports, etc in a safe at your hotel. We are not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen personal belongings while on tour with us.

Restrictions: Approximately 6 miles / 2-3 hours of riding.

BIKE TOURS: Maximum weight for bike tour is 250 pounds (114 kilos) and kids tag-a-long trailer 85 pounds (38 kilos). For your safety and well being of others, all riders must know how to ride a bike to participate in our bike tours. We conduct a safety briefing and test ride before each tour. If you are unable to demonstrate ability to safely ride, you will be asked to ride in the van or stay back and wait until tour is finished. No refund will be offered.
